"..to boldly go where no one has gone before."

  - From The Starfleet Charter

Matthew LeDrew comes to Sci-Fi on the Rock for the very first time in 2008, and brings with him the books in his new horror series. Black Womb takes place in the fictional town of Coral Beach, Maine, where high school students Sara Johnson, Julian
Grendel, Cathy Kennessy and Xander Drew must try to figure out the true nature of a serial killer in their very midst... and possibly unlock a secret conspiracy two decades old in the process. A 23-year-old Newfoundlander, Matthew is a graduate of the Journalism program at College of the North Atlantic Bay St. George campus in Stevenville, Newfoundland. He also studied under Canadian author Elona Malterre while studying creative writing in Calgary, AB. His resume includes work for Transcontinental Publsihing and the April 2005 Sick Children's Telethon. Matthew is also an author and sole-owner of Engen Books, a publishing company he started with the intent of publishing material that crossed genres of literature. He is also pleased to announce the release of the second book in the Black Womb series, titled Transformations in Pain, on sale Spring 2008.
